Dear {{contact.first_name}},

Thank you for registering for and attending our Lunch and Learn on Peak Grid Load and Battery Energy Storage on Thursday! The atmosphere was electric and the buzz of networking was everywhere. We hope that you were able to learn about the electricity grid in Ottawa and how the grid is evolving, and that you enjoyed the event and were able to make some connections.

We are able to host these events thanks to the contributions of CAFES’ members and donors. We thank you for your continuous support as we endeavor to be a center of education, advocacy, and networking for sustainability in the Ottawa community.

We would like to give a special thank you to our speakers Michael Barnard (TFIE Strategy), Dr. Kristen Schell (Carleton Engineering) and Devashish Paul (BluWave-ai) for their insightful presentations and for expertly answering questions.

You can find their presentation slides below:

Michael Barnard: Batteries: They make the grid healthier, safer and cheaper

Dr. Kristen Schell: BESS and the Ontario Electricity Grid

Devashish Paul: Bluwave-AI AI for Clean Energy: Powering the Global Energy Transition

We are working on a highlight video of the event, which will be shared with CAFES members once it is ready.

Thank you once again, and we’ll see you at our next event!

Nancy Daniel
