Tree Tour of Pleasant Park Woods - Sunday, October 5th, 2025 10am to 12pm with Owen Clarkin
The Alta Vista Community Association (AVCA) is hosting an exciting Tree Tour this Sunday!
Pleasant Park Woods is a treasured wood lot in the centre of the Alta Vista neighbourhood, with an interesting history and a nice variety of tree species. Owen Clarkin, President of the Ottawa Field Naturalists Club and well known in the city for his engaging tours of various sites of biological interest, will be lead a walk for the Greenspace Stewardship Committee of the Alta Vista Community Association.
We will meet at the back of the parking lot for Pleasant Park School, at 564 Pleasant Park Road, Ottawa.
The event is free, but we will pass the hat for contributions to the Heron Emergency Food Centre.
Please let us know if you plan to attend by emailing either greenspaceavca@gmail.com or Gilliancooperprice@hotmail.com.
See you there!
